Stress From A Busy Life-Style

We are always so busy with so much to do. Sometimes we ask ourselves, "Where do I even start?"

We should write down the things that need to be done on a daily basis and then write down the other things that we would also like to get done. We have to find short cuts to the things we do on a regular basis. One way of doing this is decide if something can be done every other day. Another way is to decide if we can just do a quick job on something one day.

Another thing we may want to do, is get help doing some of the things we need done. Try asking a friend, neighbor or family member. Another option available is hiring a student from the neighborhood for a couple hours after school.

But any which way you decide, make a plan, write out a schedule. It would be best to have two schedules; one for daily things as well as one for the other things that you would like to get done. For things that need to get done as soon as possible, add a check next to it. Cross off things as you finish them.

We need find time and learn to relax to help relieve our stresses.

“Relax?” you say. “How am I supposed to relax? I have way too much to do to find time to relax!” Well, if you do not find time to relax, you are going to wear yourself down, you will become fatigued, you will be moving slower, resulting in the same finish time whether you take a break or not.

Relaxation Tips:

You should have a couple short relaxation times scheduled throughout your day. Even if they are only 10 minute breaks. Those breaks are NOT to be used to decide what to do next. They should be used to RELAX.

Basic Meditation:

Find a nice quiet area if possible. Take a few deep breaths, relax your body and mind. Try not to think about anything. Best way to do this for starters is get a timer until you get used to taking breaks and relaxing or you will be spending just about the entire time watching the clock.
